1. About these terms
These terms govern your use of citepep.com and the CitePep service. By creating a profile or otherwise using the service, you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use CitePep.
2. What CitePep does
CitePep records typed contributions (authoring, reviewing, editing, corrections, and sources) tied to real people and specific pages, verifies them through publisher acceptance, and turns that history into public attribution and portable reputation. CitePep does not author or edit publishers' content and does not decide what is true on a publisher's behalf.
3. Your account
You are responsible for the accuracy of your profile and for keeping your account secure. You must be a real person, represent yourself honestly, and not impersonate others or misrepresent your expertise or affiliations. We may suspend or remove accounts that violate these terms.
4. Contributions and conduct
When you contribute, you confirm the work is genuinely yours and that you have disclosed any conflict of interest as described in our editorial standards. You must not submit false attributions, manipulate reputation, or attempt to claim credit for work you did not do. Contributions count toward reputation only once a publisher accepts them, and we may remove contributions or credits that are inaccurate, fraudulent, or in breach of our standards.
5. Publisher decisions
Publishers hold final editorial authority over their own pages and decide which contributions to accept. CitePep records those decisions and the resulting attribution. We are not responsible for a publisher's editorial choices or for the content they publish.
6. Public reputation
Reputation scores and contribution history are generated from accepted contributions according to our published methodology. Scores are provided as-is to reflect recorded activity and may change as contributions are added, accepted, or rejected. Reputation cannot be purchased.
7. Acceptable use
Do not use CitePep to harass others, post unlawful content, scrape or disrupt the service, or circumvent its security or verification rules. We may limit or terminate access for misuse.
8. Intellectual property
You retain rights to the content you submit. By submitting it, you grant CitePep a license to display, store, and process it as needed to operate the service, including showing your public attribution and history. The CitePep name, site, and software are our property.
9. Disclaimers & liability
CitePep is provided "as is" without warranties. We work to keep records accurate, but we do not guarantee that every contribution, score, or publisher decision is error-free. To the extent permitted by law, CitePep is not liable for indirect or consequential damages arising from use of the service.
10. Changes & contact
