Research experience in the field

A doctorate, or equivalent years of research, in the fields you list.

Recent peer-reviewed work

At least one peer-reviewed publication in the last five years.

Your name and institution confirmed, so authors know a real person is reviewing.

Pay and time
How much can I earn?You set the fee: most charge $300–600

Your fee is paid on delivery, less CitePep’s service fee. At two reviews a month at $420, that is $840 a month in fees. Your fee is fixed once you accept a review, and it stays the same whatever the review concludes.

What if I miss the deadline?Tell the author early; late delivery is visible

You can ask for up to 3 extra days once. After that, the author can cancel for a full refund, and the late review is recorded in your on-time rate.

Confidentiality
Who sees my review?Only the author

Only the author who commissioned it. Your profile shows how many reviews you completed and how often on time.

Can I keep the manuscript?No

Keep the manuscript confidential and use it only for the review. It is removed from your account 30 days after delivery.
