Who are the specialists?Verified professionals in the page’s subject

Doctors, pharmacists, scientists, engineers, tax advisers and lawyers. Before any of their work can count, we confirm who they are and what they are qualified in, through an ORCID research record, an institutional email address, or professional credentials such as a medical licence. Every specialist has a public profile listing the checks they passed and every piece of work a publisher has accepted from them.

You can invite a specific person you already trust, straight from their profile. Or you can post an open request: only specialists with proven authority in that topic can take it, and you see their record before accepting their work.

Do contributors get paid?Paid reviews and free corrections

When you order a review, most of your fee goes to the specialist who does it; CitePep keeps a small share. Anyone can also propose a correction to a public page for free, and if you accept it they receive public credit on their profile.

Do you edit my site?Never

Specialists send you proposed changes: the exact current sentence, the suggested replacement, the reason and the source. You read each one and decide. If you accept, you make the edit yourself in your own system, so your site stays fully in your hands.

Choose a reason (for example, “the source doesn’t support this”) and add a note if you like. The contributor sees your reason so they can improve future proposals. The declined correction is kept privately for our records and stays off your page.

The attribution block is one small script (under 10 KB). It loads after your page content, so readers see your page first, and it uses only essential cookies. It also adds structured information about who reviewed the page, in a standard format search engines can read.
