Replication requests

Ask other labs to repeat a key result, and credit them when they do.

A finding isn’t settled until someone else gets the same answer. Authors, journals and funders can post a replication call for one specific claim. Labs register a plan before they start, and every attempt, consistent or not, is recorded on the original paper.

How it works

Registered before, recorded after

1Name one claimQuote the exact result, the paper and what would count as a replication.
2Labs register a planMethods and sample size are fixed before data are collected, so no result can be tuned afterwards.
3Attempts run in parallelField, lab or re-analysis of shared data. Each lab works independently.
4Every result is recordedConsistent, partly consistent or not. All appear on the original paper’s record, with credit to each lab.
