There is no subscription and no per-search fee. If you pay reviewers an honorarium, you agree it directly with them; CitePep takes no share of it.

CitePep is only for finding and contacting reviewers. You still invite them, manage the review and make decisions in your own system, such as ScholarOne or Editorial Manager.

Each reviewer is matched to an ORCID record or institutional email, and clinical reviewers also to their professional register. Only reviewers who have completed at least one review appear in search, so every result has a real track record.

You send a short request with the manuscript field and your deadline, never the manuscript itself. The reviewer can decline, or accept and share their email with you. Reviewers can also turn journal contact off entirely.

CitePep only records reviews done through its own pre-submission service for authors. Anything you commission through your journal stays in your system and never appears on the reviewer’s CitePep profile.
